Serving Opportunities
Individual or Families
1) Opportunity for Individuals or Families of all ages to serve the poor and homeless EVERY SATURDAY at Westgate Tabernacle Church 1722 Swanee Drive in West Palm Beach (directions below). There are two servings: lunch at 11:30am and dinner at 4pm. If you have cooking skills call "Chef Ed" at 932-4213 and ask how you can help. If you want to just serve food and the gospel, that's great too! There is also a need for a "Mr or Mrs or Ms Fix It" for minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs needed at the church in order to best serve the needs of the poor.
Donations of clothes, tools, or cash are also welcomed.
Directions: Take Belvedere Road to Congress Avenue and head north a light or two and make a left (west) at Westgate Road, then the first right (north) onto Swanee Drive to the end of the road and go to building 1722.
"He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God." (Proverbs 14:31)
"He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward him for what he has done." (Proverbs19:17)
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." (Proverbs 31:8-9)
New Christians ClassWe began a New Christian class on April 10th, 2011 in room 2107 from 9 am to 10am.
This Class is open to all. Please encourage all the disciples baptized or restored from September 2010 to April10th, 2011, to make every effort to attend. Since it is on Sundays, earlier in the morning, some disciples may need your help coordinating rides. Feel free to contact Joseph Odjo via email with questions, concerns or if help is needed to coordinate rides. John Haynes will be the principal guest speaker | Teen Mentoring ProgramAs announced by Ralph Ojeda concerning mentoring our teens; we are putting together a list of all volunteers who would like to mentor a teen. Please email us your name and phone numbers if you are interested in shaping the life of our youth.

Financial Peace University
When was your last money fight?
When was the last time you paid a
bill late?

In Financial Peace University, you will learn how to communicate with
your spouse (or just yourself!) about money, put together a spending plan that works, and
completely eliminate debt. While completing the class, the average household
pays off $5,300 in debt and saves $2,700 within 13 weeks.
But Financial Peace University is more than just a money class; it's about managing what
God has given you in the way that pleases Him.

(Because we meet in our home, we will not be able to provide childcare. We planned for the class to be directly after church so that those of you with children might be able to send your kids home with a sitter or out on a play date with a friend until 3pm each week. Lynn and I are sincerely hoping that families will help each other out in this area. Please feel free to bring your lunch. We will!)
